close or terminate my account at e rent payment? I see nowhere on their website where I can do this. I also can't delete my property. The box to click to withdraw it is grayed down. If anyone knows how to close the account, please explain. I sent customer service an email yesterday and received no response.

I really feel for other LLs who have many more properties than me, and are severely effected by this mess. Fortunately, my tenants' rent was due on the 15th after the "effected" date, and they were able to withdraw their rent payments. I lucked out -because I read this board.

I have taken the extra precaution of closing the checking account to which I gave this vendor apparently "carte blanche" access. My bank tells me it has no control on the amount of money this vendor could withdraw (or deposit) into my account. This is indeed alarming. Has anyone else felt the need to close their account.

This will surely put the company out of business. Thanks to all those who posted about this. --68.184.xxx.xxx

I would send them another email. I'm sure they're swamped right now. That way you have a paper trail. Then ask your tenants to notify their bank that eRentPayment no longer has authority to withdraw payments.

I'm kicking myself right now...I have one tenant who pays monthly whose payment would have cleared, but she was just late enough to fall into the window of missing payments. Fortunately all of my other payments that submit on the 1st cleared. That late payment almost tripled my losses. :( --204.210.xxx.xxx

Jan,

I suggest also sending a letter by certified mail with signature required so you (and your possible lawyer) KNOW and can prove they got the message.

I'm doing this by memory as I can't seem to log in now. I could & did earlier today but I can't right now.

You have to inactivate your properties.

On the properties tab after you log in, hit edit & go to #19. I think this is the bank account drop down box. Choose none on that box.

Then go to #27 & hit disable. Then hit save at the bottom.

You should start to get a list of inactive properties at the bottom. If you have tenants with active recurring payments you will also get notification that those payments have been deleted.

I then went back to my profile & deleted my bank accounts.

Talking with another LL she said she got a "purge" button somewhere but I never found it & she couldn't tell me where because she had already been deleted off the site.. The best I was able to do was inactivate my properties & delete my bank account information.

Hope this helps some.........
