Thought I would check on my ad on craigslist. I have renewed it a couple of times.. but just not getting the traffic I was expecting.
If I search for the I can find it. However it is not being listed on the map nor when I scroll down in all of the listing.
Very frustrating. Don't know why it isn't showing up.

Not sure how well CL is doing in your area, but in my area it's been abandoned by independent LLs. Mega-apartment plexes are doing multiple posts per day for the same vacancies, so even if you get your ad to post it quickly gets lost in the shuffle. Too bad, I used to use CL frequently. Now I only use it for giving away free stuff and finding manual labor guys.
Adverting exclusively on Zillow & syndicates (i.e. Trulia, Hotpads), web site, and Facebook. Most (over 80%) of results come from Zillow or Trulia. --173.19.xx.xxx |

I still post to craigslist but I don't get much value out of it. I've experienced the same thing you have - can't find my ad. I've also had problems with craigslist automatically rejecting my ads for some reason. Overall a PITA but for now I am going to continue posting there. --216.163.x.xx |

Sid, I agree.. apartments throw up so many ads. I use Zillow and syndicates also.. I have been noticing a lot of my traffic is coming from Zillow etc. and the sign in the yard. --165.201.xxx.xxx |

Yeah, CL used to be effective but my last ad produced few leads. Zillow was much more prolific, and I liked that they have a format with the interested party's info.. Screens out unqualified right up front. --70.90.xx.xxx |

Me too. I get nothing from Craigs List. Mostly Truly inquiries, but most of them never reply or follow through. I've had the best luck lately with a good old sign in the yard. --68.105.xxx.xxx |

Do you remember agreeing to terms? Receiving an email to activate ad? --66.87.xx.xxx |

Our recent experience with filling our sfh rental. C list brought very few and all were dregs. Realtor.com was a complete waste of time. Zillow and it's affiliates brought many and 95percent of those could not get past pre screen.
We even let 3 Realtors and all had people who wanted it and even they were some the least qualified. The yard did it's job. They are gold and their last tenancy was 9 years. We are blessed. --70.208.xx.xxx |

Craigslist is dead for finding tenants. We use it but have no luck anymore. Funny zillow sent me a performance questionnaire. I told them off too with all their useless inguires of people hitting the send me more info button. --74.104.xxx.xx |

We usually only get crazies when we advertise on CL. We use Zillow and TurboTenant and they branch out to HotPads, RentLinks and other websites. Face Book is a good way to get out in front. If you have a local group in your area for Buy, Sell, Trade or a local Rental/For Sale group on Face Book, you can find some leads there. --75.103.xxx.xxx |

Zillow and Hotpads for me - there are just too many scammers in my "hot" RE area on Craigslist. --71.175.xxx.xxx |

I quit using Craig's List because of the scams. I don't need my prospective tenants being scammed. No CL here. I use Zillow et.al., even though I hate the Zestimate. Sometimes they are off by hundreds of dollars. šU --64.250.xx.xxx |
