Does anyone use the direct deposit method to collect rents? --67.43.xxx.xxx |

All my tenants pay that way. Love it and have no problems doing it that way.
I also have noticed that the rent gets paid on time by doing it this way. --97.98.xxx.xx |

2 of mine are on it. Prevents "I sent the check...". Convenient for all.

All of my tenants either use some form of bank transfer (PopMoney, Zelle) or they walk into my bank and make a deposit. I haven't taken a check for rent in 13 years, except in very special circumstances. --173.22.xx.xx |

Sue,
We are mostly autodraft (TAKE the money from their acct) but have some on Deposit Only Acct at the bank.
Their are some people who cannot get a checking acct, some who cannot manage a checking acct so this is less hassle for us. Some local factories are shifting to paying their employees on a debit card - paycard. The employee must either pay a service fee at an ATM or walk into a bank to get cash or transfer money into their acct.
My bank does not charge a fee for them to bring in their paycard.
