Have you tried looking into trail cameras?
#1, they're battery-operated, so no power onsite shouldn't be an issue. They're usually intended for use out in a field somewhere.
#2, you can get the kind with night-vision, so that there's no flash for night shots that would betray the camera's location.
#3, out in the field, you have a lot of leaves and things that are in constant motion. Some of the trail cameras are triggered by body temperature combined with motion. I don't know if the temperature of a vehicle would trigger it, but if you could put it on your property and angle it to minimize the street coverage, you might look into that.
#4, some trail cameras will feed into an app via wireless, and other trail cameras allow you to retrieve the memory card so that you can plug it into your computer. If you manually check the memory card, it needs to be low enough to be accessible without problems, but if you hook it up to wireless, you have much more flexibility in its positioning.
