I also have the same humming noise with my Navien tankless water heater. I had 2 of them installed about 2 months ago and they are both humming when the heater is not in use. I called Navien the manufacture and I was told that it was caused by the pressure regulating valves inside the unit. And not to worry about it that it was normal. I did play around with my main line water pressure regulator outside and by reducing my water pressure from the previous 70 lbs to about 45 lbs it did reduce the humming some, but it still humms. I just can't believe that this should be normal. I hope somebody can come up with a better answer.

The better answer is a round 40 gallon water heater, powered by whatever powers the tankless cuty water heaters, every company has at least 1 quirk in these things, if you have a car wash or laundrymat transplant them there. --76.188.xxx.xx |

You probably have it set to recirculate the water. If you don't require this feature you can change the settings of the intrnal switches. All is explained in the installation manual. --73.169.x.xx |
