Hello All,
I was given a judgement in court against a tenant and now that the tenant is out, I was wondering how I go about sending this to collections or collecting on the judgement.
I know I probably wont see a penny but I want it on his record that he owes money.

Ask about a debtor exam, this is where the defendant swears on oath the vehicles, boats, campers and such they own, get a transcript or write fast - serial numbers and all, you ask the court to suspend renewal of registrations until this debt has been paid - go first for the car/s. --76.188.xxx.xx |

Collection is state specific but in all states the person who has the judgment against is allowed to earn a certain amount that cannot be attached, also low wage earners are allowed to keep a used car under certain value

It used to be that you could do it just by name -- but I believe the recent change this year means that all money judgments must have a SSN to be stay on the credit report.
Can someone confirm that with the reporting place advertised here?

I'm sure you were -- as that is how it has always been. But my understanding is that those sorts of records will no longer stick to credit reports. That was the big change that happened only a month ago. So, I wouldn't be surprised if the web site hasn't been updated yet.
That is why I'm hoping Jeffrey or someone else could confirm with the site advertised here to see exactly how that works now. If we submit a money judgment debt without an SSN, will it even attach to the credit report any more since all that was supposed to have changed in July?
