Our wonderful electric utility, PSEG Public Service Electric and Gas, offers a service called Worry Free Service and they will install and repair any gas or electric heater, water heater, central air unit.

Have any of you NJ folks used them to install and repair?

I am having trouble finding an installer/repair guy for the hot air and water heater units. The one I used will not get permits and I have to have permits.

PSEG is a great company and I recommend their stock which trades as PSEG. It goes up to sixty and splits. and it will with you know who in the White House.

But how are they when there is an emergency? I used them years ago and it was a 12 hour wait and the guy that came out looked like he should be picking bananas somewhere and wanted to wire around the defective part.

Have you Jersey Boys or girls heard anything about them if they are good or not?

I got an answer to my question today from the plumber. He said that people have called him to drain their pipes and shut down the water service because their heater had gone out and PSEG Worry Free had not shown up for a couple days and they were afraid their pipes would freeze.

I guess they have so much clientele that they can't get to all of them in a fair amount of time. --73.33.xxx.xxx

Miss Ally: I have given the similar program a try here w/ NJ Nat. Gas. The person that was sent was just a pencil ushe taught how to go to a house take a look and try to sell on the program and a new furnace.

In this age of uber-monetization ai in all areas of the corporate world, this is just another arm to sell a "service" that is great for them, but you....not so much.

Frank, I have used every heater group in the area and dumped them all for one legitimate reason or another. The worst one was in Princeton.

I might try that A J. Perry group that is advertising. Have you had any experience with them?

I had one of PSEG'S contractors begging me to use their Worry Free service because he needed more customers but that was in the summer a few years ago. --73.33.xxx.xxx
