Depends where in NC you are. I am getting 950 to 1100 for 3/2
Look on Realtor.com and Zillow for your area for rentals. In my area, there are only 4 3/2 houses for rent. That's it. I could charge whatever I wanted and probably find someone. Last house that was available had a lot of interest. Match your price to what you see existing in the market place. --65.188.xxx.xxx |

Best practice is to "shop" your competition. With online sites like Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads--all of which are owned under the Zillow syndicate--this is much simpler vs. the old days. I used to call 3-5 "For Rent" yard sign phone numbers in the same neighborhood and ask about amenities and prices. Now I have saved searches set up on all three web sites and they email me a list of properties matching my criteria every day. Much easier to see what others have and what they are charging.
It's best if you have a rent range already figured out. If I think my 2-bed room house will rent somewhere between $450 - $550, I set my filter to send me everything in that price range within 1/2 mile radius (or by school district). My listings usually rank # 1 or 2 within a few hours of posting in terms of views and "saves". --173.19.xx.xxx |
