Melissa, almost all landlords rent apartments and houses on a monthly basis, which from your post seems to be the case here. You owe all of July's rent, and depending on what your lease says and local laws and when you gave notice to your landlord, you may well owe all of August rent, too, or even more. Please provide us with more details. --192.159.xxx.xxx

Yesterday was the last day... You can not decide to pay part rent. The house is too costly for you. Move before you ruin your credit. Call and talk honestly to your landlord. Read your lease. Do the right thing and the right thing will happen. You'll be glad you did. --66.87.xx.xxx

Congrats on the opportunity to rent a U Hauls and get a weekend work out. Moving is rather expensive and you will find out that you might be further ahead working with your LL instead of stringing along the process. --24.239.xx.xxx
