Does anybody use a Spanish version of you lease or do you only have the English version for all tenants.

English only on mine. I'm not sure what the judge would be able to do with a Spanish version, other than impede any desired progress from a landlord.... --216.7.xxx.xxx

With the courts in my area unless you are fluent enough to pass the bar in spanish you want to stay with english documents, for a 12 year period we once had a wide array of eastern european interpreters in county court. --76.188.xxx.xx

What would be your purpose is doing some agreements in English & some in Spanish?

Unless you are ready, willing & able to have all your dealings including applications, rental agreements, notices, repair requests, etc done in Spanish, it would not benefit you & has potential to harm you. The most that I would consider doing is having something like " These are important legal documents. You might want to have someone explain them to you" printed in Spanish or which ever language they know printed out to hand to them. --72.93.xxx.x

English only. There are way too many languages used in my area to try to use another. I'm not fluent in anything but English. --131.151.xx.xx

English. There are too many variations of the Spanish language. Too many words that mean slightly different things. Spanish from Central America is much different from South America or Spain.

If there is a particular issue in your lease that you feel would benefit from being put into Spanish, include a translated version with the English section of the lease but label it the same(paragraph, section, etc). It does you no good unless you speak it and write it fluently yourself. Your lease could state if they have any questions before they sign, they can consult a legal advisor. (You can put that statement in both English and Spanish) --107.77.xxx.xxx

In Texas, real estate agents can get spanish copies of all RE promulgated forms. However, they're for reference only. Only English forms are to be signed. --108.69.xxx.xxx
