Sears Craftsman self propelled gas push lawn mower.

I changed the right front wheel because it cracked.

Either because of this or by sheer coincidence the wheel does quiet rotate freely necessitating me push really hard.

I noticed the wheel appears to be tight. It has become difficult to cut the grass. Any solution? Thanks.

The front wheel plastic cover often gets clogged with grass clippings so tight that it prevents the wheels turning-it really gets clogged up tight. Take the entire housing off and clean everything out then oil/line it all up good and then replace the cover. --23.121.xx.xxx

I have many of those craftsman front drive mowers, some are tight in the mechanism and I think Richard has the answer, most of mine suffer a hard life and only get cleaned to prevent fires when I weld patches to them, when you need to cut grass you just go-go-go. --76.188.xxx.xx
