State Specific Question About: MARYLAND (MD)
This is for Maryland. Tenants were evicted from my rental property. After using their deposit for unpaid rent, damage repairs, they actually own me some money. According to Maryland state law, evicted tenants must send their new address to landlord in 45 days. Within 45 days after receiving the new address, the landlord need to send the details about tenants' deposit and repair cost. What if the tenants never send their new address? Should I send a first class letter to their previous address?

Fred, yes.. by regular mail, I'd suggest a 'proof of mailing form' as well...all to the last known address, your rental..
include that they did not supply within 45 days their new address in the accounting/billing for funds due
keep the envelope unopened --162.247.xx.xx |
