I have finished my final week of Radiation and Chemo. I feel great now, however, I am wearing a 50mg. Fentanyl patch on my arm and I have a sipping only bottle of HydroCodon handy to take the rough edges off. I don't know much about Opioid type drugs but that is what the doctors have prescribed for the last 3 weeks.
I better close this e-mail and get some rest. I am feeling a little woozy and light headed now.

Rest,Relax. When the "wooz" dissipates,it is time to re-build your immune system. Go on line and look up "food-grade" H2O2.
Look up pharmacies in your city selling it. Use with distilled NOT faucet-water. Make yourself a jar of the correct ratio. Sip during the day when your stomach is empty (early AM before coffee, 1/2 hour before meals or 2-3 hours after, before bed). I am still "positive-thinking" you.

Opioids slow down the intestines There is even a commercial running around here for yet another medication that reverses OIC which is Opioid Induced Constipation. Don't let that Fentanyl patch lean up against a radiator or hot water bottle or other source of heat. I read that excess heat makes the patch dump all the Fentanyl at once into a body. --73.33.xxx.xxx |

My dad had terminal cancer. When he had his first dose of hydrocodone, about an hour later he was incredibly exuberant and talkative. It was as if he really wasn't dying of cancer after all. It was pretty funny in a way because he was in his 90's and apparently was kind of high! Sure beat him being in pain. --66.87.xxx.xx |

Saturday morning,
Now that I have rested and replaced my 50mg Fentanyl patch with a 25mg patch,...I can now feel some degree of normal. I apologize for the goofy drug-induced post I made here yesterday. I should have waited.
Now, my head is clearer. I have completed a 7 week long radiation/chemo program. I am in now in a 'recovery period' which will last 3 months. In 3 months, I will go in and have another PET-SCAN and from that it will be determined if I have any cancer cells left in the lymph node which was connected to my right tonsil. My 58 year old tonsils were removed last December 13th, soon after the first PET-SCAN revealed this is where the cancer originated.
Right now, I do feel God has granted me a new Lease on Life. I plan on doing some things differently now. May even create a Bucket List just for fun. --68.63.xxx.xxx |

You ask interesting questions and have some great answers to questions others have ask. I loved the before and after photos you showed me one year at conference. I was just thinking yesterday that you were probably finished with chemo. So glad that you have some time to rest and recover now. With prayers for a good recovery.
(And, hey, don't let anyone else know you have that opioid in your house. People will break in if they even hear someone speculate that it is in a house. My mom was on that before she died, and the visiting nurse who came to check up on my Dad - and had cared for Mom - told me to get rid of it properly. When I asked if she was able to do it, she got authorization to do so. Now I know that I should have had the sheriff come and take it away.) --71.175.xxx.xxx |

Hi Roy, I hope you are feeling better at almost a month into your three month recovery period.
You mentioned that you did not know much about opioid type of drugs. I have been hearing bad things about fentanyl and was surprised that doctors are still prescribing it.
I had been trying to figure out how to convey the information to you without hurting your feelings while you are in recovery. This link is to an artcle that may cue you in to the dangers of fentanyl - www.narconon.org/drug-abuse/fentanyl-signs-symptoms.html
Will send up a prayer for your recovery. --96.238.xx.xx |
