State Specific Question About: FLORIDA (FL)

Does anyone know about a collection company that is affordable? I did speak with couple of them and they are asking to pay an upfront fee of about 470usd to report the tenants to the credit . Can I please know whether there is any way that we can do it by our selves. --98.165.xx.xxx

Funny you should ask. I just posted the same question. I looked at the one offered on this sight seems like a good way of doing it. they charge 12.95 to send a letter to the tenant and if not paid in 120 days it is reported to the agencies, when payments are made the collection company gets 38%. seems fair but I don't know how many people on here have used them and what their results are --172.77.xx.xxx

Hi Steve,

I am out of state so it is difficult to go to the small court . But even if we go to the small court we will have to end up paying more money and what if the tenant says that she don't have money to pay the debt. SO I thought if I report it by myself at least then I will be able to get something from them. Can I please know the website that you are referring to? Did you have any luck recovering the money the tenants owed you. It is a pain to be a landlord. --98.165.xx.xxx

In this business just like many others, we get what we allow, if you are not inspecting your unit (your investment), then there is no reason to send a bill, then at moveout time someone expects a unit returned spotless without giving notice of the cleaning expectations resulting in all the work needed that the tenant could have paid for or done themselves before they left. --76.188.xxx.xxx
