State Specific Question About: OREGON (OR)

Hello,

What would you do?

Local house has been on the market for a few months now, unusual for Portland area. Local gu.y Buying up rental properties has not snatched this one up.

I know that this house had a creepy history, an abusive, sad family, bad vibes.

Would you look into this or not?

Sent from my dumb phone

Have you looked at it yet? What kind of repairs need to be done? The repairs may be too stiff for any profit for the other guy. I would look into it. The stories from it's history might give you some good leverage to negotiate price. Remodel/rehab can overcome people's perception and make the bad history fade. --70.194.xxx.xxx

A creepy, abusive, sad, with bad vibes house.

Interpretation is everything.

Someone with less emotions will snag it.

Hey Micke,

House looks nice on the outside, valuable parking space. Per craigslistportland, etc, updates look great.

So should I investigate? Seems too good to be to be true.

I think the answer is yes, why not, --208.54.x.xxx

In ontario if you rent or sell this house you might have a legal obligation to first disclose to the tenant or buyer.

From a landlords perspective, in ontario, I would expect any tenant would be supported by our rental tribunal if they decided to break the lease as the LL with held info that "should" have be revealed prior to tenancy. --70.48.xxx.xxx

I'm glad we have been clueless about many of the houses we have bought as to history and background of previous occupants.

It's just doesn't matter. What matters is the PRICE vs. the opportunity to make money either through renting or flipping. --173.22.xx.xx

Are there some hidden tax liens or mechanic liens? be certain to demand a warranty deed for the agreed price. --76.188.xxx.xxx

Does the house have good bones and a bad history or is the layout also all jacked up? Don't waste time buying places that are jacked.

I have bought a few places with histories....including one owned by a former murderer. The house was nice. If a house had anything to do with meth production......I wouldn't touch it though. --72.23.xxx.xxx
