State Specific Question About: GEORGIA (GA)
A long term tenant is moving out but his cousin who moved in last yr with him wants to stay & take over the lease. I approved the cousin to move in but didn't get him to sign an amendment. Will an amendment for the new cousin suffice or would you write a whole new lease for the cousin. --24.30.xxx.xxx |

When you say "approved" does that mean you got all his info on an application? If so I would do the new lease with new term dates. --74.184.xxx.xx |

Glen,
New app.
Re-screen.
New lease.
No amendments - I have watched judges throw out amendments.
take the time to protect yorusefl by doing it right. It's just a little extra time and some inexpensive paper.
Also gives you a chance to get to know your new res better.
