The Los Angeles Housing Department tried to get me to rent a house to a women with two adult children. Her son was a convicted rapist on parole with an arrest warrant for molesting a child in her mothers apartment complex. They lived next door to my vacant house and I personally saw the police invade each apartment looking for the rapist son.
Housing thought I was as racist and didn't want to rent to a church going women who gets $1000 a month for housing assistance, while the rent on my home was $800 a month. The difference would be paid from the applicant selling drugs.
No one wanted to listen until the hearing, which they thought would be a slumlords Crucifixion. Instead they looked like clowns. --173.55.xxx.xx |

I've had one for more than a decade. I have two other rentals in the same block and in all that time, not one tenant has ever said anything to me about it.
This family always pays the rent on time and keeps the house better than I keep my own.
YMMV.
I would not intentionally rent to another one; this one sneaked in before I started screening for them. --74.222.xxx.xx |

I rented to one for the first time last summer. There were several others already in the neighborhood, so no one complained. He made it a couple months before he was arrested for a sex offense. I'm done with them. --99.32.xxx.xx |

I have, twice. One, no problem. One, reoffended. Now, no. It's on my written criteria.
I'm probably too forgiving on my criminal and civil criteria, but I draw the line at so's and violent crimes. None, ever. --204.195.xx.xx |

We have been down this topic before. As I recall, Daniel worked with a non-profit and was trying to find housing for his clients. Daniel, check with your local parole/probation office. The parole/probation officers will have lists of rental providers who rent to sex offenders and whose rental housing meets the conditions of release for these individuals. Most have to have housing set up before they leave jail/prison. It is a condition of their release. --98.145.xx.xxx |

Hello! I had a prospective tenant call me and ask me if we rented to sex offenders? He has a roommate that is a convicted offender. I didn't answer him right away, and politely said that I needed to see what I was required by law to do in such situations, and I proceeded to tell him that I had not had the question arise before.
After the phone call I did look him up in the database, and subsequently found that he has not been compliant according to the website I found him on. I do not have a good "gut" feeling about him... I will let the application process play out IF [IF] I have to by law. Can anyone help me with an answer? THANK YOU :) --50.5.xx.xxx |
