it depends on your policy. Most policys have a 30/60 day occupancy clause before the insurance becomes invalid. also depends on the type of claim....

Yes you can get a policy for a vacant house. Find an independent agent and ask for them to give you some quotes. It is expensive, but if you only have it vacant for a few months before you get it rented again, you can then get a normal landlord policy again. --71.164.xx.xxx
