State Specific Question About: MASSACHUSETTS (MA)
A change was made to snow removal laws in MA in 2010 and I'm trying clarify. I'm wondering if anyone knows from experience - does this change apply to a two family home? --76.19.xx.xxx |

I'm not sure of the change but to my knowledge for a multi you're responsible for any common areas like an entrance or driveway but if everything is separate technically you don't have to do anything. I have a rental with a driveway that is single lane up top and then gets wider to two lanes down bottom. Because the top is single and a common space, I'm responsible for clearing at least that portion. --63.121.xx.xxx |

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful.
I should have mentioned that the home has separate entrances for each family.
I think the situation is similar to your, in that the only common area is part of the driveway.
Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated!
