State Specific Question About: MINNESOTA (MN)

A likely new tenant is requesting an 18 month lease over a 12 month lease? I'm likely to do this as the lease will end in May rather than November where it ends now. Should I be concerned about anything other than not being able to raise the rent for 18 months should I need to do that? --71.195.xx.xx

Well I know that I'd rather have a turnover in May than November. My vote is get him in now and have a Very Merry Christmas! --73.181.xxx.xx

Bill .. you might also check to see if there are rules in

MN regarding the length of a lease..

Some states require another step if it is over 1 yr. --207.55.xxx.xxx

We're renting at WINTER RATES. The lease shows they go up April 1.

Generally I'm not worried about a 6 month difference on a rent increase.

Lock him in!
