State Specific Question About: ARIZONA (AZ)
I sent a 5 day notice to pay or quit via USPS Certified Mail on 11/07/14 and dated it 11/08/14. Does the 5 day notice begin from 11/08/14 or does it begin when it's actually delivered? Do I need to factor in the Veteran's Day holiday in and give them an extra day in the 5 days now because of the holiday? Thanks in advance for your assistance. --184.101.xx.xxx |

It depends on your state. Here in Illinois the time begins when they have the notice in hand. Illinois does not care why type of "day". Five days is five days. Some states require they be business days which do not count weekends and holidays. --50.141.xxx.xxx |
