State Specific Question About: OHIO (OH)
I am looking to connect with other landlords in the greater Toledo area. Also, I am looking for the excellent handymen/contractor recommendations, and also your experiences with local property managers. --216.189.xxx.xx |

Let me be the first to invite you the a meeting of the Real Estate Investors Association of Toledo. We meet the second Tuesday of each month except for December. The next meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 14. Tell the people at the door that I sent you. We meet at the Night of Columbus Hall at 4256 Secor Rd, Toledo, OH 43623 at 6:30. It is a great place to network with other RE investors. There is a segment of our meeting called Buy, Sell or Trade. This would be a good place to ask for recommendations for handypersons and contractors. We also have a number of vendor members who give discounts to our members. Mike Butler will be our expert speaker this coming Tuesday.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Hi Kathy
We are members of the TREIA already. Is there a forum that club members communicate on? A Blog? I have been a landlord now for 2 years in Toledo. We have a property management company, but we are buying and rehabbing and I need good handymen/ contractor referrals. I am wanting to get recommendations from other landlords. Are you the chair foir the historic district for TREIA? --216.189.xxx.xx |

REIA of Toledo has a web site but it is not exactly a blog.
We do not have a historic district committee. I am listed as a reference because I am a preservationist who is familiar with the regulations and procedures for obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness for changes to the exterior of contributing structures located in Toledo's various historic districts having previously been on the Old West End Historic District. They follow the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Historic Renovation, which generally boil down to the use of the same profiles and materials that would have been used at the tie in which the structure was constructed.
I a presently a member of the Preservation Committees of the Old West End Historic District and Toledo Old Town (the neighborhood just East of the Old West End). We specialize in historic homes.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. My contact information is on the back of the REIA newsletter. --66.72.xxx.xxx |
