State Specific Question About: NEW JERSEY (NJ)

Not sure if I can ask this question here because it's hard for me to find a proper place for this question.

I have a 6-unit multi-family house. I passed my green card inspection 6 months ago. I’m supposed to get the green card in 4 months but I didn't. Now I’m selling my property so I called the state inspection bureau for the green card. But they could not find our folder and record. The lady keeps on telling me she is looking for it. 2 weeks passed, no result. My deal is stuck and it's not a little money for me.

Their attitude became rude when I kept tracing it. I’m worried, cannot continue with the deal, and still have to say good words to them to get their "help".

Can anyone provide me with some suggestions on how to deal with this? Any department that I can report it or complain about it?

Stop calling ... show up in person until they produce the card.

If it's not found get the superviser and explain you'll be suing for damages. --24.147.xx.xxx

Anne I feel your pain, dealing with the clowns in Trenton Consumer Affairs is no picnic. They made me late on a closing on a property I was selling. I had to drive two hours to get my certificate instead of waiting for it in the mail to keep the deal. It was a nightmare. --76.6.xx.xx

Thank you guys. I went to the assembly office this afternoon. The nice lady in office made a call for me. Then they respond that the green card will be faxed to us tomorrow. Magic! I'm really happy with it. --69.118.xx.xx
