State Specific Question About: FLORIDA (FL)
I have been doing business with Wells Fargo since they bought out another bank a few years ago. Now I find even though I keep a sizeable sum in their bank, they now charge me for depositing, yes depositing, a $50 Canadian check. They refused to cash it for me, even though my accounts would cover it more than 10 times over.
Anyone else experiencing problems with Wells Fargo? --71.180.xxx.xxx |

They charged you for the deposit? Or for doing the currency conversion? Many banks do charge some sort of currency conversion fee or "foreign transaction" fee related to this.

Several times a year I deposit checks from foreign banks in non US dollar amounts and WF charges me conversion fees. A day or two later, after they post, I ask the op. manager to credit my account with the fee charge, as a valued customer accommodation. And he does.
Just ask the ops. manager, not the teller. --108.13.x.xxx |

Firstar Bank which was bought out by US Bank was charging a fee (don't remember how much) for ANY teller transaction after the first three. That includes deposits, loan payments or anything else. --70.92.xxx.xxx |

I have had three issues with incompetence from a bank that was not the one I use personally. All three issues were with Wells Fargo. Run away! --71.175.xxx.xxx |
