State Specific Question About: MASSACHUSETTS (MA)
My lease says that laundry is not available for tenants, but I think the tenants are using the bathtub to do some of their laundry. I know this because then they hang the cloths on the window.
I don't think I can completely stop them from washing things in the bathtub, so what do I do? Or is this a non issue? Lease doesn't mention that they can't do laundry in the bathtub, but rather that there is no laundry available. --173.0.xx.xxx |

Just be glad they are clean for heaven's sake. It's none of your business if they wash a few things in the bath tub. You are micromanaging and need to lighten up.
If the water use bothers you, raise the rent a little.

The only reason I would care is if the water from the hanging laundry was creating an issue with mold or rot... Other than that, how tenant does their laundry is no concern of mine. My grand mother washed her clothes in the sink or the bath tub until she went into the nursing home in the early 90s. --99.126.xx.xxx |
