State Specific Question About: OHIO (OH)
Some Landlords recommend to change air filters in rentals every 3 months as a regular maintenance . If there is no central AC in the house what is the purpose of changing filters in cold season, when furnace is not in use? Just curious. Thank you very much --65.27.xxx.xxx |

I meant to say "in warm time, when furnace is not in use". --65.27.xxx.xxx |

If they don't have central a/c, I would change filter in summer months. No reason to. Do they run the fan on ON just to circulate air in off heating months? --209.239.xxx.xx |

Everyone down here has a/c, and runs it almost 12 months a year. So the question never comes up.
If you are not using the fan, you don't need to touch the filter. --74.222.xxx.xx |

I would suggest still going to do this, take the filter home and save for winter time, this gets you in to see your place, unauthorized pets - broken door from exhusband visit - leaky water line from fridge mystery switch-a-roo. --75.94.xxx.xxx |
