State Specific Question About: OHIO (OH)

I want to replace my bathtub and I am considering one made of Vikrell. If anyone has a Vikrell tub, please tell how satisfied you are with it. Also, if I spray Tilex to clean my ceramic tub surround and the spray gets on the Vikrell tub, will it damage the tub? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Have installed about 20 of them in the past 15 years. With the wall kits.

Cast iron is the only other type I would like better. All the other types seem to have some problems. But then I would have to worry about the grout lines on the walls.

Most are not bad when a tenant moves. But over the years have had some really dirty ones.

Don’t worry about the tilex. Have had it sitting on one for a couple of days to presoak.

Even oven cleaner sitting for a day.

On the really bad ones I have just started using my electric car polisher with a soft scrub pad to clean.

^^ I like that RR - the car polisher. Actually us you use a little rubbing compound and polish you can probably bring the shine back, on fiberglass tubs anyway. LOL

We had a orange boat once. The gel coat looked horrible. We wet sanded it with 400, 800, 1600 and 3200, then buffed it. It looked brand new at the end of the day! --24.156.xx.xx

Lately, we have been using the Bootzcast tubs that are porcelain coated steel with a thick undercoating on the back and built in leveling pad so they are not cheap sounding and retain heat in water better.

We made this switch a few houses back and are happy with the results, we no longer use fiberglass or acrylic tubs- replaced too many in the last few years. --23.123.xxx.xx

I wondered about the bootzcast, if anyone had tried them. Good to get the feedback on them. --70.16.xx.xxx

I use Bootzcast. am going to put another one in a property in the next few weeks. I like the soaking ones, they are deeper than the regular ones. --66.249.xxx.xxx
