I'm screening a tenant and the credit report came back with this:

HAWK-ALERT: INPUT SSN LIKELY NOT ISSUED PRIOR TO JUNE 2011

I've never seen it before. Can you tell me what it means and what I should do about it. Thank you, John

First thing comes to mind: is the applicant a recent immigrant? this would explain it and is not a big deal..

Sounds like the dob calculated from the ssn does not match the applicant's stated dob.

Either you've misentered the ssn or the dob, or the applicant is trying to pull a fast one.
