State Specific Question About: WASHINGTON (WA)

how long does it take to legally evict a tenant on a month to month residential agreement and where would I find explanation of process. --108.82.xx.xx

Not sure about WA ... in MA it's 3 months due to the arbitration process.

Call your housing court office ... they'll explain your states process. Most also post the eviction process on the court website. --24.128.xxx.x

Not sure about eviction but check your lease, you probably just give 30 days notice of non-renewal to terminate. --172.56.xx.xxx

It depends if it is contested or not. Forty-five to ninety days is typical. Use an attorney specializing in evictions. This is not a DIY task in California unless you are an expert in landlord law. --98.248.xx.xxx

Check your LL/ Tenant Laws in CA. Sometimes it takes weeks or months to get them out.

Just google eviction process and the county court website will be one of the choices You can download a pdf file that lists the process and filing costs Good luck --172.56.xx.xx

It all depends on if you follow the rules, have a good eviction attorney or if your tenant is trying to live rent free for the rest of their life! The process can take between 45 days to six months in California, sometimes longer if your tenant is a professional and you continue to make mistakes by trying to go it alone without an eviction specialist attorney. --98.119.x.xxx

Also, this tends to make a big difference in my experience: are you evicting for non-payment of rent? Or for some rule/lease violation?
