State Specific Question About: MARYLAND (MD)
I have a tenant that moved out in January and it seems like he hasn't changed his address with the MVA or car registration because a ticket got sent to his old address. I put return to sender on it, but just got another notice.
How do I report to the MVA that he has moved and is using his old address and hasn't changed it with them?

Honestly I want to report him. He'll get fined if ever pulled over for not notifying the MVA of new address. He up and left owing lots of money, it's his time to pay now. --68.54.xxx.xx |

DJ, if you want to waste your time being vindictive, fine, but that is not how to run a business. Call your DMV and ask them how to report it.

why not write on the envelope "moved January, 2013 - return to sender - no forwarding address" and stick it back in the box. --72.95.xx.xxx |

I report to the mail carrier that the tenant has moved. He puts a note in the mail box to remind himself to try to foward to send the mail back to the sender. --173.60.xx.xxx |

Let the mail continue to come, it can only help you with info. about his whereabouts. Maybe you will learn where he is working, where he is banking, or where he is living. All of that could help you collect. Don't waste time trying to hurt him, but rather let his negligence possibly help you. --70.90.xx.xxx |

Call the Post Office and have them REFUSE any mail to that name and that address from now on. I had to do that to a tenant and it worked. --204.152.xxx.xxx |
