State Specific Question About: TEXAS (TX)
If I buy my rented property, can the buyer ask for the tenants background?
Or Does he accept them and the property management I have without question? --98.194.xxx.xxx |

I think you mean to say, if you sell your property.
Either way, yes, the purchaser can ask for ANYTHING they want. It's all a part of negotiations.
When selling property with tenants in place, I expect to be asked about the tenants and about the lease. If the new owner sees a bad lease with a long term left before it goes MTM or expects to have to evict the tenants shortly after buying the property then he is going to pay less.
Turn it around. If you were buying, wouldn't you ask those things? If the seller wasn't forthcoming with information, would you buy? --98.195.xxx.xxx |

Hi Paola..
Well regarding the PM... that would be a contract between you and the PM.. it ends when you both agree
Or if the new owner wants it
Id suggest that you have caution in
a. charterizing the tenants.. (fair houseing)
b. and not release actual or copies of documents until the new owner is in place... Docs such as credit reports and applicantions..
He might best be served by getting his own. --207.200.xxx.xx |

I don't think we can give the new owner the credit report. Also wonder about the SS# on the application. --70.16.xx.xxx |
