Agreed. The only Mike Smith I know is the fake name that we give out to telemarketers that won't stop calling. We always say "The guy you need to talk to is Mike Smith, but he's out right now." Then, from then on, they always call and ask for Mike -- so we know right away it is an annoying telemarketer. :)

For me, it's more fun when the telemarketers call:
to pause after they ask for a person in your home, take a deep breath, and then say:
1) "Oh my, Mike Smith just went in to the pokey. He's gonna be there a long time. We're really upset, I know he had nothing to do with it. Do you want his inmate number?"
2) "You have called at the worst time possible, I have just returned from his funeral. Why must you call us now trying to sell something."
