1) Noise
2) Poop
3) Noise
(did I mention noise...?)

Depends on what type of birds you're talking about here.
My finches are more on the "reeper/beeper" level of noise.
The sun conure I once had was great for someone who was deaf.
Same with the blue and gold macaw that once owned me.
My rescue African Grey is very quiet but he/she has been passed from family to family and rarely makes a sound.

Yes; anything larger than a finch or canary will chew.
If I had an applicant with a bird larger than a finch or a canary, I'd certainly ask the size of the cage the bird was kept in and if the owners allowed the bird out of the cage at any time.

Friend of mine had three love birds. Lots of poop, she would turn them loose to fly around the house for
excerise and poop all over as they fly. The smell as
you entered the house was bad and she had a clean house
just those stinking birds. I love birds but they belong
outside in the wild. --74.236.xxx.xxx |
