Hi all,

anyone ever work with Behr Deckover or Rustoleum Restore (deck coatings)? Trying to make a determination that does NOT involve the sales folks at the stores. --67.234.xxx.xxx

Used restore last year on an old deck and so far it has done everything they say. Only thing it won't help is rotted out or warped upward boards. As far as cracks and splinters, it fills them right in. Also nice not having to seal the wood deck every year. Hard to get out of the can, so buy the big bucket even though there is no price afdvantage per gallon over the single gallon cans (and the singles include a free roller cover) --69.248.xxx.xx

We have not used one yet but are checking them.

Menards' product, Restore at Lowes, and Behr. Behr wins hands down - cost and appearance.

Good Behr vid on YouTube.

We will be trying the Behr product in a few days. It is cheaper.

A little disappointed that the color won't be a precise match to the deck color we've been using. --70.16.xxx.xx

Used the R-O Restore and it worked great. Still holding up! --99.101.xxx.xxx

used restore product.

if you want a rough surface just roll on with their roller, if you want it smooth then come back over it with a brush. I preferred the smooth, especially on bare feet. over all it worked great. I choose a redwood color and it was a bit orange, so don't buy all your product at one time if you think the color will not be correct. --184.239.xx.xxx
