State Specific Question About: MISSOURI (MO)

I purchased my first piece as an investment in my name and currently still in that home, where I conduct business. I'm ready to move out so that I can free it to some cash flow. My main desire is to turn ownership over to my business?

What if anything would be suggested, or the best thing do at all?

In some areas, when you sell a property, you trigger a re-assessment of the property for property tax purposes. Sometimes, there are exemptions, such as if you sell to your own company.

However, if the purpose of the sale is to disquise your interest, you cannot claim that exemption and still pretend that you are selling to a stranger.

So, first question, what is your purpose? And then, how much will it cost you (not just the recording fee, but any changes in property tax)?

If you own the property in a business name, will you need an atty to handle any evictions, or will you be able to do them yourself?

Any income tax consequence?

Any busines tax consequences? Do the business license fees vary if it is you vs. your business?
