What avenues are available to me for finding a moved tenant that owes us money? In an earlier post I read that someone uses the tax assessers office. Any help would be appreciated.

Send a letter to them and type on the front "Return Service Requested" if they have a forwarding address with USPS the letter will be mailed back to you with their address printed on it.

Check their facebook page. They may post their new job, pictures of their new home, new phone number, etc.

Watch court records. They may get a speeding ticket showing their new address, or their new LL may file against them at some point.

You can also pay for access to various databases which have information on addresses from utility companies and other sources. --71.194.xxx.xxx

Send a registered letter (requesting) a signature to where they moved from. This letter will now go to their new location. After they sign the green receipt, it will be returned to you with their new address. Sometimes the PO will not list the new address on the green receipt. If that happens, go to the postmaster and complain. --184.43.xxx.xx

I'm a big fan of Facebook for this. I have a dummy page I created and go browsing for deadbeats. Just found one last month who listed her new job. We already had the judgment, so garnishment went out the next day.

It's amazing how clueless people are....(and I include myself in that assessment on occasion). --108.250.xxx.xxx
