State Specific Question About: MASSACHUSETTS (MA)
As a real estate broker am I allowed to charge an application fee to prospective tenants who want to fill out an application? Also do I need a waiver to do a criminal background check on an applicant? Can a landlord refuse a convicted felon?
Thank you! --174.252.xx.xxx |

Chris - you are a real estate broker and don't know the answers to these questions. I don't mean to be mean but that is basic stuff. You should get a MA Property Management class before you jump into this pond (MA has lots of laws regarding rental property that you should know). It's one thing to do this for yourself without proper education but to have an RE license and not know does nothing for the profession. --75.160.xxx.xxx |

WoW!
Go ask the broker with whom you have your license.
Gawd...wait a sec...you ask this and YOU are the broker?
Better ask the State Agency who granted you your license. --75.193.xxx.xxx |
