Lost power two days. Have an automatic generator so OK for that. Big pine tree came down at the cape cod rental and took out power lines. Electrician went out and hooked it back up to the house and went up the pole and secured it there. He brought a chain saw and he and his two guys cut up a 60 ft. tall pine and put it on the curb. He's my superman for sure. Other duplex has a generator so they were OK and the third one just managed without power for one day as they got it back faster. I got off easy. If people are in the strike zone, they are not coming on this website. Whatever you saw of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans also applies near the coast here except that most people listened and got out and they were urged to take their pets. --69.141.xxx.xxx

Lost grid power fpr 12 days in Morris County. Coldest night outside during the outage was 24F.

My duplex was on a 59 year old 12.5kw generator 24x7 with a few hours of downtime to get gas. No damage at all to the house and property other than a million small branches on the ground.

Several homes in my area were abandoned. Basically, the whole town was shut down. Our elecric company JCP&L sucks. Anyone that followed the horror of this poorly ran company based in Ohio knows why.
