State Specific Question About: PENNSYLVANIA (PA)

I got her to sign lease, she gave 600 for the Rent, SD would be paid later. Now that Welfare won' give her $1000 she wants out of the lease & her money back. I agreed to meet her at my bank (she gave me cash & wants cash) I told her I run a bussiness. & have to give her a check. Her Daddy wanted her to meet me at the bank to make shure the check clears. she never showed up, went the wrong way other side of town. Sister got pissy with me. we had a screeming match onthe phone I told her if she wants my money she has to take a check , meet me tomorrow at the Dist Mag. ( I'll be there filing lockouts) Complaining of wasting gas, I wasted 2 hours of my time waiting for her yesturday & now another 45 min.

She left me a message saying she called the cops & will see me in court. She gets SSI & is pregnant with boyfriend (didn;t want him on leased because of welfare help) I was stupid & was gonna rent to them anyway. boyfriend works roofing with famile, getsd under the table(lie most who get welfare hel) but just hurt ankle & has no proof of income. I guess it is good she is backing out but can I legally keep her money to teach her a lesson?

Do I have to give her money back (Morally yoes, What about legally) the lease is for 01/15/2012 to 9/14/2012 --75.75.xxx.xxx

Stop talking to these losers and let them take you to court. You should be very happy they aren't moving in.Keep the money,if they sue then counter sue for an additional months rent for not giving proper notice.Learn to screen tenants before you try to rent it again, these people scream of a future eviction.Morally or legally I don't see why you should return the money. They will give up and go away soon if you stop adding to the drama by arguing with them --72.224.xx.x
