State Specific Question About: MASSACHUSETTS (MA)

Does anyone know the actual MA law for a tenant having to give a 30 written notice to terminate tenancy.I can't seem to find it.

It is never enforced by judges anyway. However, tenants at will are supposed to give one rental period notice. So if they are moving out July 31st, they had to inform you of that prior to July 1st. However, I've had many tenants give notice a week or so before leaving and it is extremely hit or miss whether the courts let me charge them another months rent due to lack of notice. --74.8.xx.x
