Any guidelines for showing a unit while it is still rented by current tenant.(Their lease is up soon) Do I ask tenant to leave or remain in one room? Need help here because I have never shown a unit that was already renter. --24.1.xxx.xxx |

Talk to your current tenants. If you have a good relationship with them, that may work. In our state, you will have to give the current tenants at lease 24 hours advance notice. It is also their option to stay or not to stay when you are showing the unit, you cannot force them to leave.
IMHO, showing unit when people are in there did not work well for me. I would prefer the current tenants not in there for sure. People don't like the idea of going to other people's house when the current resident is in there. It never works out for me. The prospects feel like intruders and they just want to get out as soon as they can. Most likely, they will not consider the unit. --198.51.xxx.xxx |
