State Specific Question About: FLORIDA (FL)
We have tenants who live in our ocean front condo. We recently found out that they do not use the air conditioning. We fear mold. What should we do? --71.199.xxx.xxx |

Turn on the fan to dry it out, discussed recently here there was a similar problem and we all advised to use some bleach in the drain. --76.241.xxx.xx |

Do you have anything in your lease about mildew? You might talk to them about turning the fan on to remove any moisture in the air.
You also might talk to them about maybe leaving the A/C on at 80 to take the moisture out of the air also.
If they do not want to turn on the A/C, you can not force them to turn it on. --98.82.xxx.xx |

Do you have mold yet? Just communicate with them your concerns. Just some air movement will help IF it is a concern. A lot of our barns do not have a/c but also no mold. They are drafty however. Is there a moisture problem in the structure? --209.239.xxx.xxx |
