Are you talking about credit checks? That can be done by signing up on the service offered through this site (see horizontal bar near top) or through your local landlord's association.
If you want police reports, you go to your local police station - or in some cases you can do that through your local landlord's association.
Evictions and other judgments can be checked through your circuit court.
Also check out google, facebook, etc.
