State Specific Question About: PENNSYLVANIA (PA)
I have a section 8 tenant have to pay a portion of her rent. I tried to have her set up auto payment with Clear Now system, however she does not have any bank account. And ClearNow system only work with bank account. What other system may work with credit card or any other option to do auto payment? She is now pay with money order and snail mail to my POBox.
If you were me,would you feel comfortable to give her your bank deposit slip and let her deposit at bank teller? --64.121.x.xxx |

Lots of saved money since the EBT card became mandatory. lots of large complexes should be able to chime in but I suggest that you make it her problem not yours because unless electronic transfer is a part of your lease you cannot MAKE her do it --99.20.xx.xxx |

I use bank deposit slips and I write his/her name on it so I know who it is. Let them deposit into your account with cash. They can stop by your bank and deposit then. They have a lot to lose by not paying his/her portion because the other portion is paid by the government.
And you don't have to worry about losing money on rent because his/her deposit should easily cover a few months of his/her portion on rent (since the government is gauranting the other portion during the eviction process). --204.113.xx.xx |

reply to pmh from TX: She told me her goverment check will arrived on the 4th or 5th, then she will clear the check and buy money order and snail mail to me. My point of giving her my deposit slip is that I can get the rent earlier, on the same day she clear the government check,as snail mail will take several days. Also, I can cut back my trip to my POBox to get her mail. --64.121.x.xxx |
