I have a money gram money order for rent. The tenant didn't sign it . I have tried to get with the tenant for the last two days to get him to sign the money order.

I am tempted to just sign it myself. Or to go post notice on the door to get them to sign it.

Suggestions.

Thanks --165.201.xxx.xxx

The money orders we receive have a blank line but do not have to be signed. The money order is the money, signed or not. Take it to your bank.

If this is a Western Union document, be aware that many are fake. Many establishments will no longer accept Western Union Money Grams. --50.129.xxx.xxx

I sign them all the time, because they are usually unsigned. The signature looks like this: ijhghigbj

Never been questioned about it. Why waste time chasing it? Go to a different branch or the drive thru... --75.39.xxx.xx

I take them and never noticed - they deposit in without question, I am getting one in an hour for late fees and I will check it. Interesting concept. --99.128.xx.xxx

I've never had a bank tell me it NEEDED a signature. And we get HUNDREDS of MOs every month, many of which are unsigned. --99.102.xxx.x

I've been depositing them for years, and now today, I'm told just "out of the blue" at the same Chase Bank branch I've been going to that they have to be signed! No one can tell me why - just like some kid making up rules as the game goes on. Even more, they said that there also has to be a purchasers address listed. I replied that I could simply list a bogus adress on it myself if I really wanted to. So what's the point?? It's been purchased by cash already!!! --65.60.xxx.xxx
