Anyone know of a good place to order cheap "For Rent" signs? I'm looking for the corrugated plastic ones that are usually 18"x24", say "For Rent", and have a spot to write in a phone number and such. I go cheap on these because they go in an area where they seem to vanish too often.

In any case, I used to buy them at a place called WeSellSigns.com, but they appears to have gone out of business since I last ordered. They used to sell a set of one big sign and three arrow signs for like $20 -- or a bigger set of 3 large signs and 9 arrows for $60. So, that's the price range I'm looking for.

I did some searching online, but most of the places didn't have stock ones of the "for rent" sign -- just the "for sale" ones. And I didn't want to order these custom, of course.

If you are in a bad area, just get a gang member to spray paint it on the wall. ;)

It isn't "stolen" as much as destruction. Lost some due to kids taking them and using them as a sled. Lost some due to snowplow being a little too aggressive on the side of the road. Lost one because a tenant's kid tried to use it as a bike ramp.

That sort of thing -- where I'm just not going to pay to put an expensive sign there only to see it destroyed somehow.

In any case, thanks for the VistaPrint suggestion, but I'm going to pass on them for now. Their products have been fairly inferior for the past few years now that they've started doing the "smaller sized" business cards and such -- I've been unhappy with them, so I'll send my business elsewhere. That being said, do they sell pre-made Corroplast signs like that? Or were you custom ordering them?

I actually was considering Bandit, but all of their "For Rent" signs are blue instead of red. I guess it doesn't really matter, but I just think the more traditional red would be a better attraction.

But, maybe I'll just get the blue ones from them. If I'm missing the red ones on their site in the pre-made/stocks signs, someone let me know.

Hmmm... It looks like the minimum number of STAKES to go with the signs that you can order at Bandit is 25 of them at $1.19 each. I really don't need that many stakes. heh.

I thank you all for your advice, but it simply doesn't fit my situation. Window-placed signs won't work in my situation.

Just looking for a place to buy some cheap signs similar to what I had a few years ago and thought someone here might know of a source.

I think I'll go with Bandit. I'm really not looking to go with a different sign and can't place it differently. Thanks though.

NotThatJosh: I like the 18x24 signs -- and those big box stores actually DO have them -- but they tend to be around $13-$15 each. Online, I was buying 4-5 of them -- with stands -- for like $20. So, it was just a money thing -- I wanted several of them and figured I'd just get them online again like I did last time -- and end up paying for 4-5 of them the same I'd pay for less than TWO of them at the local Home Depot. :)

Adam: Yes, I get most of my tenants though yard signs actually -- and we don't have that sort of problem here. Also, these are for 4-plexes where there is just one empty apartment, so it isn't quite as bad as advertising a vacant spot to rob. Good thoughts though for others that might read this later.

Jr: I'm not sure what you're talking about. I put these in my front yard. It isn't public property. And, if you read above, you'll see that they aren't getting stolen -- they are getting damaged by various different methods. But thanks for the crazy assumptions and meaningless response anyhow! :)
