State Specific Question About: CONNECTICUT (CT)

I have tenants who havent exactly been the greatest. Lots of complaining over minor stuff. I noticed that they took one of the doors off and put it in the garage without my permission. It says in my contract not to alter any fixtures or make any changes without my approval.

Can I ask them to leave based on this? As a breech of contract.

We would send them a 10 Day Quit or Cure , which tees the tenants you mean business. It states that if they do not do as you ask within the ten days you will start the eviction process for breach of contract. --68.12.xxx.xxx

Gotta check CT law.

Given that they violated terms of the lease, do they have the right to "cure" the breach of the lease? In most states, they do.

In Ct you must serve a cure or quit for lease violation. Must be served by Marshal. will cost 70ish.Then if not corrected must start eviction. will not win eviction unless tenants are totally clue less. Suggest you check your smoke batteries after giving 24 hour notice. So If there is anything else of major importance you could add to P or q . If this tenant is M2M then just give 30 days notice and then they will leave end of NOV. If lease then you are stuck/. On a busness level do you want an apt empty that could be hard to fill. ? for my money in this economy I would just let them stay as long as I am getting paid , unless there is more to this story. --152.133.x.x
