State Specific Question About: ILLINOIS (IL)

When I made contract with tenant I never gave them a copy. Is that makes the contract invalid if it comes up at court eviction ? --69.47.xxx.xxx

I think it throws suspicion on your honesty in the eyes of the court. All my contracts note that the tenant acknowledges by signing that they have received a copy. I print off two copies and give them one. We both sign all copies. --66.226.xx.xxx

If you have a signed copy I would just tell the judge here is my copy they signed not my fault if they can't find their copy --67.252.xx.xx
