State Specific Question About: VIRGINIA (VA)

Click on "Credit Checks" in the yellow box at the top of the screen and start the paperwork to get signed up. You'll need an inspection and it takes a little time -- but it really isn't as scary as it sounds and usually goes pretty quick.

I recommend doing that regardless.

That being said, many that just have one rental and have to only run a check every couple of years or so might not want to do that. In that case, you'll want to find a 3rd-party place that will do a check for you. You won't get all of the REAL details though (to get that, you need an inspection -- no matter where you go) -- but it might be enough for those that just have one unit and very rarely need a check.
