I believe if you own a home on a rented lot in a MH park, you need to check your space rental agreement.

Some parks allow rental, some allow seasonal rental or time limits (snowbird rentals).

Some people get around this by doing a "contract for deed" sale - which is essentially an "owner carry" sale.

The problem is many (especially newer) parks do not want people who are not under their direct control living in their park. If you don't pay your lot rent, it becomes a big headache for the park, so they just refuse to allow rentals. --32.176.xxx.xxx

I live in 55+ park, where I have a home, paid for; however I pay land rent. Is there any reason the owners could prevent me from renting my house. --168.158.xxx.xx

Yes -- as two people just said above, there ARE reasons why the owners may be able to precent you from renting your house. You'll need to check with your agreement with them to see if there are rules restricting those actions.

You own the home -- but you RENT the space it sits on. Therefore, you have rules and obligations related to that lease that you need to follow.

Typo: "precent" was supposed to be "prevent" there.
